Not to sound too stupid, but should there be any oil in the intake manifold? And what about the starter motor? I'm trying to trace two oil leaks that I'm sure are coming from above. Doesn't look like the cam cover is leaking, but I guess I should remove it to be sure. Also found oil in the idle adjustment screw today. and that was dry before! Weird!

there's an O ring at the bottom of the dipstick tube that can cause a slight leak - easy to change ( if that's where your leak is of course )

there's an O ring at the bottom of the dipstick tube that can cause a slight leak - easy to change ( if that's where your leak is of course ) I replaced that when I rebuilt the engine. It looks dry. Oil runs down the turbo and drips onto the undertray. Can also see oil underneath some of the vacuum pipes that are in the inlet manifold. -------------------- |

Going to have a good look tomorrow when I change the oil. Reseal the sump whilst I'm at it. On a good note, did a compression test yesterday, got 150psi on all 4 cylinders, so that's a relief.
