We, as a group, are very fortunate to own all the
lights we frequently use - most groups hire them from various local
sources. Add another source to the list - us!
We can hire lights to your group at very competitive
rates. In return, all we ask is, apart from treating them with care,
is that bulbs that fail are replaced, you settle your dues promptly
and place a small credit in your programme.
If you wished, we can also provide experienced manpower
to design, mount and operate the lights for your show or event. Please
contact Richard Clayton - Norwich (01603) 664422 for further details.

We also have a fair quantity of sound equipment, which
we can hire out if required. We have a public address system (mixer
amplifier and speakers) which is more than adequate for most purposes
and also 4 radio microphones (all on separate frequencies).
We also produce a lot of sound effects on computer,
so you can send us a shopping list, we may well be able to supply
a quantity of suitable sound effects on a custom written CD-R which
can be played from the majority of CD players (changing standard in
CD technology mean that some older CD's cannot read CD-R's)
We can supply sound effects / music in the common
formats - WAV, Midi or MP3.
If you wished, we can also provide experienced manpower
to design, and operate the sound requirements for your show or event.
Please contact Andrew Cliffe - (07798) 651441 for further details.
We often have shows in production or that have been
recently done, that could be dusted off and performed locally. We
have done this fairly frequently for several local organisations.
Please bear in mind that this requires a fair amount
of advance warning, and organisation. Please make enquiries in writing
to the following address:
Rackheath Players,
c/o 26, Sir Edward Stracey Road,
Rackheath,
Norwich,
NR13 6PP
Please include the type of material that you may require
and duration, what facilities would be provided by you or the venue
- (sound , lights, staging, dressing rooms etc) and as much information
as possible including the type of audience (we don't want to offend
people). Enquiries will be discussed at the next available Committee
meeting (the Committee meet generally every 4 weeks) and we will communicate
a reply to your group promptly.
