Coronavirus / COVID-19 statement

Covid-19 Coronavirus Status

We are all living in unprecedented times.  COVID-19 aka Coronavirus has spread across the world extremely rapidly and all responsible countries are taking special measures to curtail its spread to levels which their hospitals can cope with.

When the initial lockdown was announced in March, Omicron reduced its workforce with a skeleton staff in the parts and workshops. As it was deemed sensible, the workforce was brought back to work in stages and we are now at pretty much full strength again.

Martin and Elizabeth are isolating at home but are at the end of a phone for any assistance and advice they can provide, and it is myself (Andrew) and my brother Tristan heading the company going forwards.

All of us have had to adapt how we work and observe social distancing in order to protect each other, our extended families and all that we come into contact with.

Parts Department.

The parts department is pretty much fully staffed once more. The supply chains aren’t quite back to normal and the postal / courier service isn’t quite at full strength, as they have been overwhelmed with demand, but have also had their own staffing issues. One side effect of less passenger air travel is that parcel prices overseas has increased, especially to the USA, as the Post Office can’t use spare cargo capacity in passenger planes.

Workshops.

Our workshops are back to full operating capacity. If you would like work doing on your Lancia (or other marque) please get in touch and we can arrange a suitable slot. However, owners are often preferring us to collect and return their cars rather than making un-necessary journeys themselves.

Car deliveries or collections.

We are able to collect or deliver your car back to you. We are trying to combine delivery and collection jobs if possible as it makes best use of a vehicle, and shares the cost.

Normality.

Whilst we think it will be a long time before things are back to how they used to be. It is now late September and there is signs of a 2nd wave approaching, with more severe measures being imposed to prevent it spreading.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This page will be updated as circumstances change.

With kind regards,
