• Removed front bumper
• Removed front grille
• Removed underbody air ducting
• Removed radiator water tubes
• Removed clutch hydraulics from engine
bay
• Removed rear brake lines from engine
bay
• Removed radiator
• Continue stripping underseal from engine
bulkhead - paintwork underneath is excellent,
so will simply key the surface.
Next Jobs:- put engine on engine stand and
start strip down. Debate on removing front and
rear fibreglass wings. Continue preparing engine
bay and perform some repairs to some of the
panels, and improve finish on previous repairs.
Collate batch of parts for zinc plating. Collate
batch of parts for powder coating and some more
for a crackle finish. Remove single piece noseband,
remove headlamps etc., Flush radiator, test
for leaks, clean and re-paint.
Soon I will put the car on a roller in order
to facilitate access to the underside.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
