The Long Barn has been skillfully converted into two comfortable holiday homes, with light airy rooms and "duck or grouse" doorways.

Both properties overlook what is reputed to be the largest area of common land in Norfolk, with a duck pond and a play area for children, the village has a small collection of shops, a fish and chip shop, post office, and pub.   It is within easy reach of the fine city of Norwich with its cathedral, restaurants, theatres and night life.  A large supermarket (open 24 hours during the week) with petrol station is 3 1/2 miles away.

Mulbarton also has a Doctors surgery, Chemist and Veterinarian.

Norwich City centre is 5 miles away.   There is a regular bus service to and from Mulbarton.
