Two Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider’s on site at once
Lancia records suggest that only 59 RHD examples were made in 1954. Sixty years later, we were pleased to have two examples in our workshops at the same time.
The red car is here for some work to make it easier to drive by someone with reduced strength and movement. We fitted electric power steering to the car which makes the steering much much lighter, and also a brake servo to make the brakes more powerful. We have been impressed with the outcome of both modifications – especially the servo assisted brakes. To help with the electrical demands of the power steering, the dynamo was replaced with one of our alternator conversions. We were careful to ensure that all these modifications could easily be reversed if necessary. The result is a car that the owner can continue to use and enjoy, but one that can easily be restored to standard.
The green car is here for a number of minor jobs including propshaft balancing. This car was rebuilt after a very heavy front end accident some years ago. This was a difficult and time consuming job!
